In 2008, United Way of the Quad Cities joined the movement to encourage and promote students to volunteer in the community. The goal of last year was to have student's register 10,000 hours of community service and be rewarded with a rock concert to celebrate the student's efforts.

This year we are continuing that mission to encourage high school and college students to achieve 10,000 hours of service; however, we are making the transition to becoming a student group on campus called Student United Way.

Student United Way is the student-led organization partnering with United Way of the Quad Cities that is committed to bringing the young adults of the Quad City community together to volunteer 10,000 hours of community service.
