Achieve Quad Cities

Achieve Quad Cities has six initiatives to complement and enhance already existing programs at schools. Volunteers are needed to support each of these programs.

Career Navigators: Volunteers work one-on-one with at-risk students to explore career opportunities and encourage academic and social success.

Classroom Presenters: Professionals give interactive presentations focused on how to succeed in their field.

Job Shadows: Students shadow professionals from 2-6 hours to learn practical knowledge about a career and the workplace.

Experiential Learning Tour Host Site: Businesses host tours for students to teach them about different career opportunities and workplaces

Career Expos: A day-long expo designed to introduce students to a variety of careers.

Student Internships: Workplaces host students from 45-90 hours, so they can learn new skills, understand how to behave in a workplace and discover their career preferences.
